I know this gets asked all the time, but what do you guys think is the best home security system in 2024, especially for video and automatic 911 calls? I’ve heard Vivint and SimpliSafe are not great anymore. ADT seems old-fashioned and has a lot of negative feedback too.
Eufy seems to be the popular choice lately. What do you all think?
If anyone uses Ring or SimpliSafe, what setups are you running? I’m looking at a Ring Pro kit with door/window sensors and four cameras. Feels like a bit much, though.

I installed a Ring kit a week ago. It came with a base station, keypad, motion sensor, range extender, and 4 door/window sensors. I added a doorbell too. Setup took about 90 minutes total, and everything works from one app.
It’s simple to use, and I like being able to track when doors or windows are opened. I put the sensors too high on the doors, so my wife, who’s shorter, struggles to reach them sometimes. I’m planning to add more sensors for the windows and a couple of cameras.

Did you go with the regular Ring or Ring Pro? Not sure if the Eero mesh router option is worth it.
