Wyze doorbell pro and wifi, how does it connect?

I heard that the Wyze Doorbell Pro doesn’t connect directly to wifi but instead connects to the chime, and then the chime connects to wifi. Is that true?

If so, what happens if my doorbell is more than 50 feet away from the chime but close to another router?

My gate has a router, but my house is much farther away. Is there any way to get the doorbell to work well while still having a chime sound inside the house?

That might be tricky. The doorbell and chime connect using Bluetooth, which doesn’t have a long range. Not sure of the exact distance, but I’d guess 10 to 20 feet max.

The doorbell itself does connect to wifi like other Wyze cameras. The chime, however, connects using a different type of signal, and the range isn’t very clear. It’s likely more than 20 feet, but whether it’ll reach 50 feet is another question. Have you checked Wyze’s specs to see if they mention the max range?
