I am thinking about installing a connected security camera in our home. However, I am concerned that drilling a hole in the wall to wire the camera may damage the wall, allowing rainwater to flow through the holes and ruin and damp the wall. Is my anxiety justified, or am I just being overly cautious? Does anyone have any experience with a wired security camera in their home?
For wired security camera installation:
- Connect the camera’s input cable to the DVR box and note each camera’s input port.
- Link the DVR’s output port to a monitor’s input slot.
- Ensure all components are powered and cables are securely connected.
