When would you go with a wired system?

We are about to buy a home where we plan to live for a long time. Should we go with a DIY security system like Ring or Simplisafe, or would a wired system from a highly reputable local company be better?

If cost is not a concern, what other factors would make a wired system preferable to a popular DIY option?

For my new build, I prefer to go with a wired connection. There are two options for Alarm.com: wired or wireless. I fully support the power g modules. After three years of constant use, the batteries on these doors are still going strong.
