What's a Faraday box for car keys?

I heard that thieves can steal signals from car keys, especially for cars with keyless entry. Is this only a worry for cars with push-button start? It’s hard to find clear answers online. I think a Faraday box can stop thieves from stealing your signal, but I’m not sure.

I suggest you store them in something like a conductive metal box or awy from your doors

A Faraday box for car keys is a container lined with metal that blocks electromagnetic signals. It prevents thieves from amplifying the key’s signal to unlock and start your car remotely, enhancing vehicle security.

A Faraday box, named for its inventor, Michael Faraday, is a miniature version of a Faraday cage. Keyless entry systems and other electromagnetic fields are blocked by faraday bags.
