I just got an email saying my trial ends tomorrow, and if I don’t subscribe to a plan, I’ll lose the ability to arm and disarm my alarm from my phone. I currently have the Home Basic plan. What level of subscription is required to arm and disarm remotely? I couldn’t find this information in the comparison charts.
You’re looking for device modes. Those are available with the Standard and Premium plans, but not with Basic.

I’m on Basic and can still arm/disarm from the app. Does that mean this will stop working after my renewal date? I thought the change for Basic users already happened, but my features weren’t affected.

Yes, the change happens at the time of your renewal. Once your current cycle ends, you’ll lose the features no longer included with the Basic plan.
You’ll need at least the Standard plan to keep using that feature.
On the Basic plan, you can still arm and disarm through the app, but you have to do it for each device individually. You can find the option in the device menu (click the three dots in the upper right corner).
You’ll need the Standard plan, which costs $100 a year. If you want professional monitoring, that’s an additional $100 a year.
Consider getting a Eufy system instead. It doesn’t require a subscription plan.
