About a week ago, the Alarm.com app said it couldn’t communicate with the panel.
I replaced the battery, but that didn’t fix it. There are no faults in any zone, and the alarm arms without a problem.
The SEM-100 has 7 red blinking lights on LED1, which seems to mean it can’t access the panel. The alarm company wants to send a tech, but they want $150. Seems like they should be able to fix this remotely, right?
They do have tools to reconfigure the panel and transmitter remotely, but it sounds like the transmitter itself might be the issue. If the system sees it as offline, they may not be able to fix it without a tech visit.
Check the bus wiring. The yellow and green wires at the transmitter should be connected properly to the keypad bus on the panel.
You could also try a full reboot—disconnect both the battery and the power supply, then reconnect them.
You haven’t changed anything in the panel programming, right? Didn’t update the installer code or anything?
@Barbara
How many keypads do you have? Are they all working normally?
The transmitter works like a keypad and sends signals over the bus. If there haven’t been any wiring changes and the keypads are fine, the transmitter itself may be dead.
You mentioned three keypads and the SEM module. Do you also have an auxiliary power supply? If so, is it connected to the system bus on the negative terminal?

I think so? The wiring hasn’t changed since the system was installed.
@Barbara
Just a thought—I’ve seen cases where devices on the bus randomly lose communication with the panel when the aux power supply isn’t properly linked. Might be worth checking.
