Thoughts on doorbell cameras… any recommendations?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for thoughts on doorbell cameras like Google, Ring, or EZViz. Which one would you say is the best for picture quality, night vision, etc? Thanks in advance!

I’d recommend the Reolink doorbell. It’s affordable and really good for the price. Often on sale for around $80 or less. Good picture quality, solid night vision, and it works with NVRs if you want to store footage 24/7.

I’d pass on EZViz since it’s part of Hikvision. If you’re thinking of adding or already have an alarm, consider getting a doorbell that integrates with it.

If you’re going for something newer, I’ve heard good things about Nest. I’m using Paradox myself, and it’s been great, though you’ll need the premium Blue Eye app for it.

@Grace
So, you’d suggest avoiding EZViz? Not sure if we’ll need an alarm since we’re in an estate, but I’d prefer to have some form of camera.

There’s nothing wrong with Hikvision, who owns EZViz. Some people dislike it, but they make decent products.

The camera quality is solid, no doubt. Hikvision does a great job with that. The issue is it’s owned by the Chinese government, so it could be banned anytime. Would hate to get one and suddenly be unable to get parts or support.

I use Ring, and it’s alright. Haven’t tried the others, though.
