Lately, we’ve been noticing unknown people ringing our doorbell in pairs. It feels odd and has never happened to us in other places we’ve lived. Not sure if this is normal or if we should be concerned.
They’re probably going around sharing information about their church. It’s pretty common in some areas.

Thanks for the reply.

This kind of thing never happened in other countries I’ve lived in. Not even once.

I think the earlier comment is right. It’s most likely harmless.
I hope that’s all it is.
Could they be Jehovah’s Witnesses? Either way, I’d avoid answering unless you’re ready for a long conversation.

So you’re saying you don’t want 200 extra rules to complicate life even more? Sounds like you’re missing out!
@Milo
It’s not just the rules… the follow-ups and visits get a bit too much.
What’s this about ‘performing a stunner’? Anyway, you should put up a ‘no trespassing’ sign. You can find them at most hardware stores, and they’re aimed at keeping out door-to-door marketers and solicitors. Delivery people like the mail carrier or food delivery drivers are fine, but anyone else should stay away. If they ignore the sign, you can report them.
@Chance
Our condo already put signs up and reported them. But local cops don’t really care unless something serious happens.
If you’re worried, you could set up some low-cost cameras like Wyze cams. You can cover a wide area by placing 2–3 cameras at the corners of your house.
Here’s another idea… it might not be religious or marketing. It’s getting close to election time, and lots of campaign volunteers go door to door to talk about candidates.
