Hello, can anyone recommend a smart space heater? I’m looking for one to use in my bedroom and living room with Wi-Fi and iPhone app control. I love my smart fans from Dreo, but they don’t make a smart space heater yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I feel the same! I have three heaters linked to thermometers, and I love them. It’s such a shame.

Is the Dreo heater smart? Does it have an app or work with Govee? I wonder if it’ll get recalled too… Maybe I’ll have to make my own smart heater, though that probably isn’t safe!
@Dragonsecure
I doubt it’s compatible. None of my Govee thermometers connect to Google Home either. If the recall is due to smart features, it’s likely only a matter of time for others. I’ll probably keep using my Govee heater but stay cautious.
@The
I just got the recall email yesterday. I’m reluctant to stop using my Govee heater, but I guess it’s a liability. The Dreo linked above is smart but needs to be wall-mounted. Their other unit just has a remote and doesn’t support smart home systems. Here are two other smart options I found: https://a.co/d/a44JDe8, Amazon.ca.
@Ezra
My Atomi smart heater was recently recalled too. Be cautious with those linked models.
@Ezra
Check this one: https://a.co/d/bkQLhl5. It’s similar to the Dreo and can be wall-mounted or used with built-in feet.
@The
I only have one Govee heater, but it’s been so helpful. I’m starting to look for replacements, though I’d prefer one that isn’t wall-mounted.
The recall seems to be about the smart features not meeting regulations. If that’s true, we might not see advanced smart heaters again unless the rules change. These heaters were the ‘SpaceX’ of space heaters.

The recall cites issues with the power cord and plug design. Details are here: https://www.cpsc.gov/Regulations-Laws--Standards/Voluntary-Standards/Electric-Heaters

Interesting! I’ve used mine extensively with no issues. I’ll inspect the cord for safety. Thanks for sharing this information.
I use a Govee smart space heater, but I can’t seem to set a schedule on it.

You can set a schedule using the ‘Automation’ tab in the app. I’ve set mine to turn off and on automatically, but with the recall, it might be time to stop using it.
Same here. I’ve been looking for a replacement smart heater but haven’t found anything comparable. I assume safety concerns limit their availability.
