I’ve been paying for ADT monitoring for several years now, but I’m looking to cancel the subscription and switch to self-monitoring. I have an ADT model SCW9057G-433 and use the ADT Pulse app. My system includes 3 door sensors and 2 motion sensors.

Here are my questions:

  1. Canceling ADT Monitoring: What steps should I take to cancel my ADT subscription? Is there a specific process to follow to avoid any complications?

  2. Self-Monitoring Setup: How can I set up the existing system to send alerts to my phone? Are there any particular apps or services that would work well with my current setup?

  3. New System Consideration: I’m open to buying a new system if converting my current setup is too complicated. I found this unit on Amazon for $60—link to the product. Any thoughts on just buying that and starting fresh?
