I’m looking for a straightforward home security system that I can self-host—no subscriptions or third-party companies owning my video feed. Essentially, I want to set up the system on my home WiFi network, add a camera or two, and access the recordings remotely via a Raspberry Pi or similar device.
Are there any “off-the-shelf” solutions that people recommend? It seems like this should be simple to set up, but I haven’t found many examples of cameras and software suited for this use case.
