Reolink NVR says it doesn't support Android, what does that mean?

We’re planning to get Reolink cameras and noticed that one of their NVRs says the OS doesn’t support Android or smartphones. Does that mean I can’t watch recordings on my phone? Or even view live footage?

I’m not very tech-savvy, so any help would be great.

Which NVR are you looking at? The one that doesn’t support Android?

It’s the Reolink RLN8-410.

I have the RLN8-410, and it does support Android. Where did you see that it doesn’t?

@Dany
You’re right, I double-checked, and I was mistaken. It does support Android.

Which cameras are you using with it? How’s the night vision? I ordered the RLC-823A 4K along with this NVR. Reviews seem pretty good.

@Ricky
No problem! I have a mix of PoE and Wi-Fi cameras, and all of them work well with the NVR:

  • 2x RLC-520A (PoE)
  • Duo 2
  • Trackmix
  • 2x Duo 1
  • Lumus 4K
  • 2x E1 Outdoor Pro
  • RLC-811WA
  • Fisheye 360

Night vision is great on all of them in my experience.

@Dany
Appreciate it, thanks a lot.
