Recommendations for continuous recording surveillance system

I’ve been using motion detection cameras like Eufy and Ring but realized they’re not ideal for my needs. They often miss events, require frequent charging, and only record short clips, which isn’t sufficient in some situations. Now, I’m looking for a continuous recording system with the following requirements:

  • Internal storage
  • Continuous recording
  • PoE (Power over Ethernet)
  • Motion detection features
  • Notification system

I understand that PoE cameras are typically part of NVR systems, and DVRs might not be the right fit. When it comes to detection features, I assume the software plays a significant role. Does this software typically reside on the NVR?

I’m looking for a reliable system, preferably one with no subscription fees or with a lifetime purchase model. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
