Nest Protect Smoke Alarm - Still worth it?

I moved into my apartment and am frequently on the go.

Considering my lifestyle, I’m looking to buy a smart smoke alarm, and the Nest Protect seems to be the top recommendation.

What are your experiences with it, and is it still worth purchasing, especially if it’s being discontinued?

I also plan to integrate it fully with Home Assistant.
