I live in a rough neighborhood, and my house has recently become a target for various issues. I suspect my neighbor has been throwing trash and rocks at my house at night, and I’m also concerned about break-ins or worse, as there are signs of people marking the house for robberies or trafficking.
I need a camera that can be hidden to monitor outside from my room, but it cannot be mounted where anyone could see it. I can’t connect it to Wi-Fi or have it show up on local networks or Bluetooth, as it would put me in more danger if anyone found out about it.
Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated! Please let me know if you need more details.
You might need an old-school hard-wired system that doesn’t rely on Wi-Fi. Thieves can use Wi-Fi jammers, which would make wireless cameras useless. While Wi-Fi is easier, it’s not always safer. I’m picking up some red flags here—hopefully from a good place. I’d suggest sticking to a self-contained, hard-wired setup.

Oh yeah, Miami leads the nation in insurance fraud, Medicare fraud, and rudeness. We top the charts in a lot of negative things here.
Wow, wish I was just dealing with fraud! I’ve got domestic violence instead. Maybe it’s time for a career change!
