I’ll be traveling for three weeks and need a cheap security camera for my house with cloud recording so I can monitor everything while I’m away. Any recommendations?
P.S. I don’t know much about security cameras, so please excuse my lack of knowledge!
Arlo is a good option, and a lot of people like Google’s cameras too. I’d recommend comparing the monthly costs and checking if they offer motion-based recording. Some cheaper brands on Amazon support SD cards for 24/7 recording, which you can access remotely—not exactly cloud-based, but you get continuous recording.
I’d suggest avoiding cloud-based cameras in the long run. They might end up costing more over time. Instead, look into getting an NVR (network video recorder) and separate cameras. They can last over 10 years with no monthly fees, and you can still view the footage from your phone. I recommend checking out Reolink.
