Hi everyone,
I recently moved into a new place that has Honeywell Ademco 5816 sensors installed around the entrance doors. However, I haven’t been able to locate any panel that controls these sensors, and they don’t seem to be doing anything—no sound or alerts when the doors open or close.
My questions are:

Repurposing the Sensors: Are these sensors practically useless without the original panel, or can they be repurposed if I purchase a compatible panel?

Security Solutions: I’m interested in finding a security solution that could integrate with home automation. However, I’m also open to the easiest path for basic home security that could potentially use these already installed sensors.
Any recommendations on what I should do with these sensors or suggestions for systems that could make use of them? Thanks in advance for any advice!
