How to transfer Nest Pro settings to a new Nest thermostat

My Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen) lost WiFi, and after troubleshooting with Google support, I was told replacing it was the best option. My HVAC setup is complex with multi-stage dual-fuel, and it needed Pro settings to be configured. Is there an easy way to transfer these settings to the new thermostat, or do I need to redo everything manually?

Would it work if I go into Settings > Equipment > Pro Setup and take screenshots? If so, which screens are the most important? Is it risky to do it this way, or should I just stick with the default setup until an HVAC pro can check it out?

I would wait. A mistake here could get expensive.

Thanks! The Nest app won’t let me do this without a Nest Pro, so I’ve scheduled one to stop by tomorrow.

That’s a good call. Wouldn’t want to mix up any wires and cause damage.
