I need to save a 5-minute clip from my Nest Cam, but it only lets me save short ~35-second clips because it hasn’t classified the footage as an event. Any way to get the full recording?
Are you using the 1st gen or 2nd gen Nest Cam?
If it’s 1st gen, you can save a longer clip by going to home.nest.com and manually selecting the footage.
For 2nd gen, I don’t think there’s an official way to save a full 5-minute clip unless it’s classified as an event. You might have to screen record it instead.

I believe they are 1st gen. Had them for about 9 years. Thanks for the tip, I’ll try that.
