How to reconnect PowerG sensors to a new panel?

Hey installers, quick question—does Telus lock their sensors somehow?

I’m working on an install, and the customer has several PG9303 contacts. I deleted them from the old Telus IQ4 panel, but when I try to auto-learn them into my panel, I’m getting this error:

“Unsupported Manufacturing Id (6) for PowerG Device (109-0713)”

Anyone run into this before? Any way to fix it?

That error usually means the sensor is locked to a specific vendor or region. I remember seeing a thread about this—here it is: https://support.suretyhome.com/t/unsupported-manufacturing-id/17558/23

It looks like you might need to apply the dealer template before adding sensors so the panel recognizes the correct region ID.

Also, check the part number after PG9303—there should be a 915-X code. From what I’ve seen, -6 is linked to ADT, and -5 is linked to CPI, but that’s based on user reports.

That really sucks. At least I know now before wasting more time. Appreciate the info.

Meant to say PowerG sensors in the title.
