Without programming anything or removing any pins, there must be a remote button sequence to press in order to keep the gate open. With simply his remote, the prior owner was able to open the gate and have it remain open without having it close on its own. Is it possible for someone to achieve that?
Press and hold the remote button until the gate fully opens, then quickly press it again before it starts closing. This should keep it open
You set the timer for the self-close feature to the off position, allowing the gate to remain open until you click the remote again. If you prefer the gate to self-close most of the time but occasionally want it to stay open, first open the gate with the remote, then use the remote to initiate the closing process.
