I have a Honeywell Wave 2 siren that the previous owner left. We don’t have any active alarm system, but this thing keeps beeping every 4-5 minutes. Does anyone know how to get it to stop? Thanks a lot!
Sounds like it might be a low battery. Try finding the main panel or control box – it usually has a board with power connections. Disconnect that and then take out the battery. Should help.

Is it possible to just replace the battery? That sounds way easier! But I’m not sure where the panel is.

Look for a metal box, kind of like a breaker box. It’s often in a first-floor closet or in the basement.

Yeah, you could! If you want to keep using the alarm, just get a 7Ah battery – pretty cheap on Amazon.

Do you know if it’s simple to replace? Can the box be opened easily?
@Isabella
Honestly, I’d call a local installer if you’re unsure.

Problem is the alarm company won’t come unless I have an active subscription.

I think I found it. It’s a black box, right? Is it safe to replace the battery myself? Sorry, I’m pretty clueless.
That siren shouldn’t beep. If it was active, it’d be a really loud siren sound. Could it maybe be the keypad instead?
