How do I stop pet motion alerts? I turned them off but still get notifications

I turned off pet notifications in the settings, but I still keep getting alerts every time my dog moves around. I don’t want to turn off AI completely because I still want to get notified if a person is in my yard.

Is there another setting I’m missing? Using Wyze Cam Outdoor if that helps.

If you’re sure your notification settings are correct, try resetting the AI services on the affected cameras.

I have all smart detections enabled, but in the notifications tab, I turned off everything except for ‘person.’ That way, it still records events, but I only get notified when a person is detected.

Did you turn off the wyze AI notifications?

@George
You have to change it in the camera settings for each one, kinda a pain to setup but haven’t had any issues with it. I have person and pet for all cameras except the 2 in the front of the house but the doorbell takes care of person notifications for the front yard. Edit: it seems you want all AI tagging on but only want notifications for person on that specific camera so hopefully I’m understanding correctly, the other motions events are absolutely horrible and will flood your phone.

I don’t have those options at all. The ones I posted are the only notification toggles I have. I’m using Wyze Cam Outdoor—maybe it’s too old for these settings?

I only have the v3 and the v4 so can’t speak to that but you’re absolutely sure you’re in the camera settings and not in the app settings? Like you should click the camera into live view, should be a gear at the top right for the camera specific things. Sorry if it sounds like I don’t believe you I just can’t imagine something so simple as camera setting wouldn’t be available but it is technology after all lol. If the battery cam actually doesn’t have the option I’d say buy a v4 as they’re cheap and see what the difference is and depending on where the camera is hardwire might not be too bad. The flat cables are great to put through the tops of windows to get the wire outside.

Yeah, I’ve been checking the same app settings. I’m thinking about upgrading to the new hub-less outdoor models, but I’d need six cameras, and they cost over $70 each. Not sure I want to spend that much just to fix a notification issue.

@George
That sucks. Hopefully, someone else who uses the same camera can confirm if there’s another way. If you do upgrade, the only Wyze camera I’ve had issues with is the Pan v3. Had constant connection issues, but it turned out my router was maxed out on devices. Also helped a friend who had Wyze cameras, and his Verizon router could only handle 10 devices on 2.4GHz. Might be worth checking before buying new cameras.
