I’m having trouble setting up a secondary partition for a rental suite in my home. The suite has its own entry and keypad, and I’d like to give my tenant access to the alarm system separately from the rest of the house. I’ve been looking for an easy-to-follow guide on how to do this, but I haven’t found anything clear yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Google for the DSC PC1832 Programming Manual. It should be one of the top links, and you can download the PDF, which has the steps you need. You’ll need the programming or installer code to make these changes. If you’re not comfortable with programming the system, I highly recommend hiring a local alarm company to assist you.

Programming a partition with an LED pad like the PK5501 can be tricky. Do you have an LCD keypad available? It would make the process much easier.
