I’m setting up a DSC Neo system for the first time and using a TL880 communicator. I typically rely on DLS5 for everything, but I’m not seeing any option to work with the TL880 communicator in the DLS software. I’m using the latest version of DLS5 and have login access to the DSC site, but there’s no clear way to select or use the TL880 as a communicator within the software.
What am I missing here? Is it even possible to use DLS5 directly with a TL880 on a local network, or am I required to go through Alarm.com for using DLS?
For anyone else dealing with TL880 issues: It only links at 10Mb. If you have a modern switch that doesn’t support 10Mb, you won’t be able to establish a link. Whoever at Tyco thought it was a good idea to design a new communicator that can’t connect with modern switches really dropped the ball.
