You should secure the door as soon as possible.

Use 4-inch screws into the frame instead of the short ones that usually come with locks. It makes a big difference.

I do have a deadbolt just above the lock, but this still makes me nervous.

At least you’ve got the deadbolt. That’s a good first step, but reinforcing the door is a smart move.

Looks like an older solid wood door. The age might’ve helped it hold up better. Cheap door knobs usually give out faster than this.

This might’ve been one of those TikTok trends where people randomly bang or kick doors hard. Some people think it’s funny, but it’s just stupid.

Your door took some serious damage. It’s probably time to replace it and upgrade the locks. When you get a new door, use longer screws for the lock and frame. It’s a simple and cheap fix that can make your door a lot stronger.
