We are switching from an old ADT system that was not monitored. One of the best features it had was a chime every time someone opened a door, even when it wasn’t armed. For those using Ring, is there an option for a sound or chime when doors open and the system is not armed? Thanks for any info.
Yes, the keypads can chime, and you can set up Amazon devices like Echo to announce things like ‘Front Door Open’ with an easy setup.

That’s helpful, thanks for letting me know.
You can definitely do this. Just make sure you have contact sensors on the doors and the base station. I’ve used this setup on all my doors for almost six years with no issues. Each door gives a ‘beep beep’ sound when opened. You can also link it with an Echo to announce which door opened, but I turned that off since I didn’t need it.
@Miles
That’s great, I appreciate the info.
Most alarm systems, including Ring, have a door chime feature. With Ring, it’s turned on by default. You can also use Alexa with an Echo device to announce which door is opened, but you’ll need the Alexa app for that.

Thanks for the tip about Echo devices. That might work for us!
Yes, Ring can notify you when doors open even if the system isn’t armed.
