I need four cameras and a doorbell camera, all PoE. I want 4K resolution, local storage, and remote access through an app or another method. Continuous recording with motion alerts is a must. Quality is my top priority, and I have a $2,000 budget. What should I consider before buying?
If you want something solid, I’d go with Ubiquiti Unifi Protect. It’s reliable, easy to use, and works well.
Ubiquiti is great if you want top quality, but Reolink is a good budget-friendly option that still performs well. Honestly, this advice applies to most security camera setups.
Unifi Protect is the way to go. Once it’s set up, you don’t have to mess with it. Easy, secure, and not made in China.
I’ve installed a lot of cameras, and Unifi is my go-to recommendation now. The system keeps getting better with software updates. The NVR itself is affordable, but the cameras can get pricey.
