Best Monitored Security System for Seniors?

Hi all, my parents are looking to upgrade from their early 2000s ADT system to something more modern that has cameras.

They’d like to keep equipment/install costs to less than $1k (although lower would be ideal) and monthly monitoring fees to around $50, which is what they’re paying now. And they’d prefer one combined system to keep things as simple as possible.

We’ve narrowed it down to the following options. Does anyone have advice?

  • SimpliSafe - affordable, and my parents really like the Active Guard Outdoor Protection feature. Con is that it’s seemingly prone to jamming (how much of a risk is that?) and their equipment looks like it might be a bit clunky.

  • ADT - no complaints other than their current system is old. But almost every review mentions predatory behavior and that’s making us nervous about entering into a new contract. Also, they can get more features for less money by switching.

  • Vivint - seemingly best equipment, but mixed reviews on the actual pro monitoring portion - and having reliable monitoring is important to my parents.

  • Ring - parents like the hardware, but it costs $100 per month for features similar to SimpliSafe’s Active Guard Protection.

Thank you!
