Best home security camera options? Blink stopped working for me

I’m looking for recommendations for home security cameras. I used Blink cameras for years and was happy with them, but one day four of my five cameras stopped working. I spent countless hours with tech support and even engineering, but they couldn’t figure out the problem. The base unit seemed to be the issue, so they sent me a replacement (even though it was out of warranty), but that didn’t fix it.

Ring seems too expensive for what I need.

I’ve had good experience with WUUK cameras. No subscription required, and their customer support has been excellent.

If you’re looking for something reliable with local storage, Reolink is worth checking out. They have battery-powered and wired options, and you don’t need a subscription.

I switched from Blink to Eufy and haven’t looked back. No monthly fees, solid app, and good video quality.

Tapo cameras are decent for the price. Just make sure to check if they require a subscription for cloud storage if that matters to you.

If you don’t mind spending a little more upfront, Arlo has great cameras with local storage options. Their subscription isn’t required, but some features are locked behind it.
