Best All-Around Home Security System for $2k-$3k?

Hi folks…

I’m pretty new to home security and looking for some advice on setting up a comprehensive system. I don’t mind spending $2k-$3k on good equipment, and I can handle the installation myself. Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Alerts: I need an alarm system that not only texts me but also rings or sounds an alarm to wake me up if there’s a security breach. I have trouble waking up to text notifications.
  • Door and Window Alarms: I want alarms for the interior garage door, back sliding patio door, front door, all windows around the house, and the backyard/patio area.
  • Camera System: A camera system with a DVR, ideally with 6+ cameras. I’d like it to be on a battery backup.
  • Keypad and Hardwiring: An interior alarm system that can wake me up, with a keypad for disarming. I prefer everything to be hardwired rather than relying on Wi-Fi.

I’ve had my car stolen from the driveway before, but my main concern is ensuring my family’s safety and being alerted to any potential threats before they enter our rooms. Although we’ve never had an actual break-in, I want to be as secure as possible.
