Are wired security cameras better than wireless ones?

So, after HOURS of deliberation, I purchased the Reolink set of 4 cameras plus NVR for $670, then discovered that I needed a POE switch for $100 and ethernet cables for another $100, then discovered that the guy who is installing them, whom I am paying $50 per hour, expects it to take 8 to 16 hours… later said he would cap it at $500. I would never have started this if I knew it would cost me nearly $1500. To be honest, I think I would rather spend $400 on less-than-perfect Arlo cameras than $1500 on the greatest. Even though I have poured hours and hours into all of this, I do not think I can justify spending this much, therefore I will probably return it all.

Wired cameras are usually more reliable and offer better quality, but they can be expensive and complicated to install. Wireless cameras are easier to set up and might be cheaper, though they may not be as perfect. If you’re having second thoughts about the cost, going wireless could be a good alternative.
