Like the title says… I’m curious if anyone has tried something different that’s just as good or better, but maybe a little cheaper. Is Honeywell still the best option for the price? Any advice?
I’ve had good luck with the Bosch BDL2 tritech motions, plus they have a cool blue light. The Honeywell DT8035V is solid, but if you’re after wired systems, Bosch isn’t a bad option either.

Yeah, that blue light on the Bosch does look slick. Price-wise, they seem similar though. Do you think Bosch holds up as well in the long run?

I’ve installed both in homes and they’ve lasted around 15 years. If you’re putting it in a high-traffic spot, you might need to replace them earlier, but overall, they’re both solid products.
