I got a second V4 because my first one would not share clips. It acts like it’s sharing, but whoever gets the file just sees an error message. I tried swapping out SD cards, but that did nothing.
I put a V3 in the exact same spot, and that one shares clips without any problems.
I even replaced the first V4 with a new one, formatted the card fresh, and still no luck. Is this just how the V4 is or am I missing something?

Mine updated fine. Maybe try a factory reset and see if that helps.

I had the same thing happen when I set mine up. It got stuck on ‘update in progress’ forever, then failed. Every time I retried, I got an error. A factory reset didn’t help either.
Somehow, I found a ‘Bulk Update’ option in the app and used that to push the update through. After that, it worked. Not sure if that was a fluke or something worth trying.
Are you using an iPhone? There’s an issue with the iOS app where shared clips won’t play. I’ve seen a few posts here and on the Wyze forum about it, but Wyze hasn’t acknowledged it yet. My Android phone has no trouble sharing clips.
Could be a problem with the app version. If you haven’t yet, try reinstalling the app or rolling back to an older version if possible.
Are you sharing the clips directly from the app or downloading them first? Some people say downloading to the phone first and then sending works better.
Might be the SD card. Even if it works in other cameras, V4s seem picky. Have you tried using a different brand of card?
I’ve had this issue too. No idea why, but sometimes restarting the camera fixes it for a little while, then it comes back.
