Are your doors secure against kick-ins? Have you thought about high-security deadbolts like Medeco or Mul-T-Lock? What about security film on windows?

Yes, but this is where we disagree. I’m not waiting for them to kick in my door. You do what you feel is best for your family, but I’m not going to wait until they get that close to mine.

You’re making some solid points, but OP seems ready to go full Rambo. Focusing on motion sensors, security lights, cameras, and secure doors/windows is a much better defense than planning to confront someone outside.
