Any suggestions for IP cameras that work with NAS and skip the app?

any updates on the camera?

been using GeoVision for years and it’s solid.

anything with RTSP should work. Dahua and Hikvision have reliable cameras that work well even in low light.

Blue Iris or Synology Surveillance Station are your best options. both should work with your Amcrest cameras.

try a newer Synology model.

i’m using Reolink for this purpose—it works well.

AMCrest Cameras are a good choice with lots of options.

the web UI on older Amcrest models isn’t great. Amcrest’s surveillance software on Windows might make FTP setup easier.

i’m happy with my Anpviz 4K cameras. i have them connected to an NVR at another location over VPN and also save motion footage to a local NAS. one of them records 24/7 with no issues.

Unify UI.com is another option.
