I can’t seem to find any options out there

Yep, we’re using Reolink now too. Tried a few other brands but Reolink has been the best so far, plus their app works smoothly.

Can you live stream from anywhere?
@Candy
Yes, I travel often and stream live footage remotely all the time.

I like being able to keep an eye on our cats when I’m away.

It works without a subscription, but for rich notifications, you’d need one.

I can live without that feature.

Another vote for Reolink. We have six cameras hooked up to a Synology NAS. We did have to pay once for a multi-camera license for the Synology, but it’s worth it.
All the footage is stored locally, so we can access it whenever we need. We also still use the Reolink app for quick checks, and the doorbell camera sends notifications without any subscription.
For home use, check out Reolink or Eufy.
Lorex has been decent for me, no major issues.
Another vote for Lorex. Mine’s been running fine for about 4 years.
Most cameras don’t actually need a subscription; you just have to look beyond consumer-grade options. Try checking out commercial or professional equipment.

That’s true. Consumer-grade cameras often push cloud storage and AI features, which is where the subscriptions come in.
Commercial-grade options don’t usually offer this at the same level, though.
@SentinelSecurityCirc
Some higher-end commercial brands have AI and cloud storage options, but it always costs extra.
Axis, for instance, has cloud storage options: https://www.axis.com/products/axis-camera-station-cloud-storage

For enterprise setups, some cloud services exist like Arcules and Eagle Eye, but managing large numbers of cameras can be challenging bandwidth-wise. Many commercial systems now include analytics as well.
@Don
Yeah, ‘cloud’ can mean different things. Most places use a hybrid approach or just want browser/app access rather than full cloud storage.
Lorex
Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, Avigilon, to name a few. But if you’re looking for budget options, those may not fit.
Ezviz, Hikvision, or Dahua could be worth looking into.
