I’ve spent hours researching and still haven’t found a good option. I want to visually monitor my dogs in another room, but I don’t want to use any phone or camera apps. Preferably, I’d like something with two-way audio, but I don’t need recording or saving. It can be WiFi or non-WiFi, I don’t really mind. Any recommendations?
A video baby monitor with a dedicated receiver/display could work. No app needed, and many have two-way audio.
Look into old-school wireless security cameras with a built-in display. Some home security brands still make models that don’t require an app.
Pet-specific monitors like the Furbo require an app, but there are some pet cams that work with a separate monitor. Maybe check out local stores for non-smart options?
If you’re okay with a wired setup, some home intercom systems come with video and two-way audio. Might not be the most modern solution, but it avoids apps.
