Is this quote for a wired alarm system reasonable?

Hi, first time posting here. I’m looking to refresh my wired alarm system as the current one is outdated. A family friend has provided me with the following quote:

1x panel
1x keypad
1x app module
1x zone expander
1x pack of 5 fobs
1x backup battery
3x IR beams
7x PIR sensors
1x bell box
1x dummy bell box
1x door contact

Total cost: £988

It also includes a one-year free subscription for remote maintenance, remote arming/disarming, and notifications.

What are your thoughts? Does this seem fair?

That sounds very reasonable. Here in Canada, a single IR motion sensor costs around $75–100 CAD, so for all that equipment, it seems like a good deal.

This seems like a fair price, especially for a wired system. It’s about what you’d expect to pay in USD for the same setup.

That’s a great price for a wired system. What brand is being used?

The brand is Texecom. It’s wired and includes a year of free remote maintenance and app features like notifications and remote arming.

@CathyGenesis
Texecom is a solid brand. If it includes app functionality, most features like remote arming and notifications should remain free beyond the first year.
