I recently moved into a house in northeast Mesa with an existing hardwired alarm system that seems to be high-end. Unfortunately, the system isn’t functional due to a potentially dead power supply and missing passcode from the previous owners. The system covers a large house (6000 sq ft) with sensors on every door and window, so replacing it entirely would be costly and unnecessary if it can be salvaged.
My goal is to repurpose the system for local use, including:
- Arming it at night for notifications of open doors/windows.
- Remote arming/disarming and vacation monitoring without central monitoring.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Contacted several local security companies, but they don’t handle takeover systems.
- Looked into Konnected systems but had trouble finding responsive local installers.
I’d prefer a professional installer as I’m not comfortable doing it myself. I’m open to replacing the main board and keypad if necessary to make the system functional with modern tech (e.g., app integration like Envisalink).
I’ve attached pictures of the current system:
Looking for:
- Recommendations for alarm techs or companies in the Phoenix/Mesa area who can handle this.
- Suggestions for DIY-friendly or pro-install systems that allow local monitoring and remote access.
Thanks in advance for your help!
