Best security cameras for home use?

I switched from Eufy to TP-Link Tapo cameras. They’re more affordable and notify me instantly when something happens. They don’t require a subscription and support SD cards up to 256GB.

Can your builder take down the car’s plate number? You could report it to the local police station.

Fixed cameras are more reliable than Wi-Fi ones, but most people go for Wi-Fi because they’re easier to set up. You’ll also need good resolution to capture details at a distance. Visit a store to see which models fit your needs, then use a site like pricespy.co.nz to find the best deals.

Wi-Fi cameras are popular because they take just a few minutes to set up.

If I were buying cameras again, I’d start with something like this:

Avoid Arlo cameras. They corrode in the rain and stop working after a year. I’ve had multiple replacements, but the same issues keep happening. Their app update also made it nearly unusable. I’ve spent $2500 on systems for two houses, and none are working properly now.
